Grab and Go Snack Ideas For Busy People

Feelin’ snackish but too busy to grab a bite? We’ve been there. The minute hands slow down, and all you can think about is your next snack.

Maybe you left your lunch at home, or maybe you had a few surprise meetings fill up your schedule. Whatever the case, you’re left in your power suit without your #bossbabe fuel.

Fortunately, there are a number of tasty grab-and-go snacks that you can keep on hand for those days that are especially busy. Interested? Read on to discover some of the best snacks for those living life on the go.

The Science of Snacking

Yep, snacking is a science (#facts), and it’s one that we’ve studied (and practiced) since the dawn of time. Ok, perhaps not that long ago, but somewhere between 1950 and 2000, the United States became a nation of snackers — and we couldn’t be more proud. After all, can you really picture life without snacks?

For some, snacking is nothing more than a way to keep the hangry monster at bay, but the truth is that nibbles throughout the day provide more advantages than just combating hunger. Yup, it’s true — there are potential health benefits to snacking.

Boosted Brain Power

Whether you need some extra help concentrating on a big project or want to feel alert during your afternoon work meeting, grabbing a quick bite can help fuel your body — and your noggin.

Tasty snacks like our wholesome BOOP cookies can help keep your energy levels elevated and your mind clear when you might be dreaming of a midday cat nap (and perhaps more cookies).

Supported #FitnessGoals

If you’re on a mission to improve your overall body composition, we’ll let you in on a little secret: Snacking on the right foods can help you feel full with fewer calories

Munching on snacks throughout the day can help keep hunger in check, which, in turn, reduces the chances of binging or over-eating at mealtime. Controlling hunger is arguably the most powerful offense you can utilize to achieve your fitness goals — well, that and our awesome BOOP cookies, obviously.

BOOP’s selection of sweet treats are not only delicious enough to satisfy your cravings – they’re also packed with protein-rich ingredients like oats, chia seeds, and flax seeds that can help you both in and out of the gym. Not to mention, our cookies are high in fiber because we believe in filling ingredients — not fillers.

Benefit #3: Improved Happiness

Unless you’re a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple snack hater, noshing on nibbles probably puts you in a happy mood. This is because snacking gives your noggin powerful nutrients that it needs to support heightened serotonin levels

When more serotonin is circulating in your body, a better mood is sure to follow suit. So, if you’re feeling blue, flip that frown upside down with a yummy snack (*ahem* like a drool-worthy BOOP cookie).

Ready to Get Your Snack On?

Now that you’re up to speed on all the wonderful benefits of snacking, you’re probably just chomping at the bit to get your grub on. We don’t blame you — improved focus? Potentially better mood? Yeah, count us in.

But for those especially busy days, we’ll be the first to say that finding the time to prepare a quick bite is no easy feat. And we all know it’s not just about the snack — having that precious bit of time to regroup is an important part of anyone’s day.

Not to worry, though; we’ve prepared for days like these. Take a trip to the inspiration station and check out some of our favorite grab-and-go snack ideas below:

Cranberry and Macadamia Nut Trail Mix

Ah, trail mix. This humble combo of dried fruit and nuts is a snacking staple. Not only does it curb hunger pangs beautifully, but it’s an excellent source of essential nutrients like protein and healthy fats. Whip up a batch of trail mix using peanuts, cashews, cranberries, and macadamia nuts ahead of time so that it’s ready the moment hunger strikes.

Pro Tip: Craving something sweet? Crumble up a BOOP cookie and toss it into your mix for a salty and sweet treat. You’re welcome.

Classic Chia Seed Pudding

Did you know that chia seeds are a great source of protein? Not only that, but their high protein content might help stave off the hungry brain fog that comes with low blood sugar levels.

To make this classic and easy breakfast, simply combine a few tablespoons of chia seeds with some almond milk (or your milk of choice) and let them soak up the milk. Set your pudding in the fridge for a couple of hours, and you’ll have a seriously scrumptious (and fast) breakfast!

To add in some extra flavor, feel free to experiment with your recipe. Add in date syrup, fresh dates, cinnamon, or a splash of vanilla extract. Or, freshen it up with some blueberries, cranberries, and almond slices.

Rolled Oat Granola

Whether you eat it as-is or in a bowl with milk, quickly throwing together some homemade granola the night before a busy day is a great way to streamline your morning.

Simply combine some rolled oats, coconut oil, nuts and seeds, and honey or maple syrup in a bowl. Sprinkle some cinnamon, sea salt, and a splash of vanilla extract, and throw it in the oven.

If you want to boost the flavor, add in some dark chocolate chips or a dollop of crunchy peanut butter. Or load up on the protein by tossing in flax seeds. Whatever you decide to mix in, oats are a great way to start the day — ask anyone at BOOP and we’ll tell you all about it.

BOOPable Popcorn

When thinking about easy-to-grab snacks, popcorn probably doesn’t come to mind — but it should. This fiber-filled bite-sized snack is easy to take on the go and even easier to make. Simply toss it in the microwave, heat it up, and voila!

Plus, if you want to change it up a bit, you can sprinkle in a dash of cayenne pepper, add a shake of parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast, or toss in some BOOP cookie crumbles for a sweet and fruity kick. When it comes to popcorn, the options are almost endless.

Apples and Peanut Butter Overnight Oats

Peanut butter goes great on everything from celery to cookies. Even dogs love the stuff. But, if you ask us, peanut butter goes especially well with apples. A match made in heaven? We think so.

You can make your apples and peanut butter the traditional way, but why not throw in a snacky twist? Dice some apple slices and mix them with some peanut butter into a batch of overnight oats. They’re quick, they’re easy, and most of all, they’ll fill you up. That’s why we use oats as yummy and filling ingredients in our cookies!

Cookies

Pop quiz: What snack is better than a cookie? (Spoiler alert: nothing.)

When it comes to snacking, cookies are often shoved to the side due to their bad rap as a guilty pleasure. We agree that cookies are delicious, but we invite you to check your snack guilt at the door Why? Because pleasures are things that are meant to be enjoyed.

If these must-have morsels are what get your motor going, then why not have your cookie and eat it, too? Plus, you can easily store cookies in your purse, gym bag, briefcase, or back pocket, making this snack easier than ever to take on the go.

Not sure where to find the best of the best cookies? BOOP your way on over to our yummy treats, where we’re positive you’ll find a mouth-watering cookie that is sure to rock your world.

Made with love and baked to perfection, each bite will hug your tastebuds and embrace them with nonstop flavor. Better yet, our cookies contain all those wonderful, wholesome ingredients we just talked about. Powered with protein-rich chia seeds, filling oats, and sweet dates and currants, why make your own snacks when you can just grab a BOOP?
