BOOP Cookies: Delicious Quick Bites To Brighten Your Day

There’s nothing quite like a soul-warming quick bite when you’re feeling blue. Sure, an ooey-gooey slice of ‘za always hits the spot, and we certainly can’t deny our love for #TacoTuesday, but when life gets tough, and things seem bleak, a wholesome nibble or two simply can’t be beaten.

Need some munch inspo? BOOP Bakery has you covered.

In this post, we’re letting our stomachs take the lead to uncover some of the tastiest feel-good snacks on the planet. Whether you’re in a rush or simply need something on the go, you can count on these delicious quick bites to brighten — and BOOPify — your day!

1. Dark Chocolate Anything

We can all probably agree that chocolate makes us feel good — but did you know that there’s a scientific reason?

Aside from the sugar rush, recent research found cocoa helped boost cognitive function in young adults. And in another study from 2019, researchers discovered a connection between noshing on dark chocolate with a lower risk of depressive symptoms

So if you’re on the hunt for a quick snack to lift your spirits, look no further than a piece of dark chocolate, well, anything

Just be sure to stick with the darker varieties for the most feel-good cocoa content.

2. Banana and Peanut Butter Nice Cream

Need a quick pick-me-up? Nosh on some ‘nanas — but not just your plain, classic fruit.

Toss a few cups of frozen banana into your blender along with some peanut butter, coconut cream, or any other add-ins your heart desires, and blend until beautifully creamy. Enjoy a few BOOPs on the side, or dip them in your nice cream, for the perfect snack.

Bananas are especially high in vitamin B6, which helps synthesize those feel-good neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. Plus, when paired with something full of fiber, like our whole BOOP cookies, sugar is released slowly into the bloodstream, preventing sugar spikes.

3. BOOP Cookies

We love cookies, but the truth of the matter is that not all cookies are created equal. Some are made with questionable ingredients or too much sugar, which we all know can lead to a major crash (not fun). Others, however, are made with only the most wholesome ingredients — like the cookies we make here at BOOP Bakery!

Our oatmeal and cranberry cookies have a homemade taste that’s second to none — and we do it all with healthful ingredients instead ofrefined sugar.

Whether you’re looking to take a munch on the go or could simply use a boost of serotonin, BOOP cookies have your back. After all, no moment is too small for a BOOP.

4. Frozen Berry Cereal

Pack-jammed with yummy antioxidants for brain health, itty-bitty berries are especially fantastic because they’ll satisfy your sweet tooth without spiking your blood sugar. And according to a huge meta-analysis, researchers found that eating more fruits like juicy berries is directly linked to lower rates of depression.

So, how can you make boring berries a bit more interesting? Toss your berries in the freezer for a few hours, or start with frozen berries, and then add them to a bowl with your milk or nut milk of choice. We recommend coconut milk for a super tasty experience!

It may sound unusual, but don’t knock it ‘til you try it — you just might be a convert after your first spoonful.

5. Everything-but-the-Kitchen-Sink Popcorn

Popcorn covered and smothered in movie theater butter is iconic when watching movies, but regular ol’ popcorn at home might not feel like the most exciting snack.

Air-popped popcorn is a carb-rich bite with a low glycemic index, which can indirectly support a happier mood. But if you’re looking to jazz it up a bit, toss in all the extras your heart desires — from cayenne pepper with chopped jalapeños and sea salt to a crumbled BOOP cookie, a peanut butter drizzle orsome chocolate chips, there are plenty of ways to make your popcorn more interesting (and tasty).

6. BOOP-ified Yogurt Parfait

Believe it or not, a dose of happiness just might be found in the dairy section at your local grocery store.

According to a recent study, noshing on probiotic-rich yogurt may boost your mood. And if you opt for Greek yogurt, which is full of protein, you can raise levels of dopamine and norepinephrine (two mood-boosting chemicals) in your brain.

To make a BOOP-ified yogurt parfait, add a crumbled BOOP cookie to the bottom of a glass, then add your yogurt, and top it all off with the berries or fruit of your choice and a drizzle of honey.

7. Mixed Nut Bark

Go nuts for nuts. No, really — these must-have morsels are something to get excited about. Not only are they perfect to take on the go, but nuts are full of healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals that’ll keep you full, happy, and healthy. Although there are many, here are some of our favorite mood-boosting varieties:

  • Walnuts
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Peanuts
  • Pistachios

Simply melt some dark chocolate, toss in some chopped or whole nuts, and place it in the fridge (or freezer to speed up the process) until it sets. You can even crumble up a BOOP cookie and toss that in, too, for an extra touch of soul-warming sweetness.

8. Frozen Coconut Bars

On a mission to summon some “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” vibes? Coconut might be able to help. This nutritious palm fruit is full of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which have been linked to improved energy levels. And while not a totally proven theory, a small study found that these healthy fats may reduce tension and stress

More research is definitely needed to confirm the mood-boosting benefits of coconut, but there’s no denying that the future of this subtly sweet fruit is looking bright!

To enjoy coconut, you can simply cut out the flesh from the fruit and enjoy it raw — or you can add it to a blender with some coconut cream, blend it up, and spread it on a baking sheet before placing it in the freezer for a few hours.

Don’t want to deal with the hassle of cutting open a coconut? Buy frozen coconut chunks from your local grocery store and add those to your blender instead.

Once your mixture sets, simply cut it into squares and enjoy it all week long.

9. Decadent BOOP Oats

Have you ever felt happier after chowing down on a bowl of oatmeal? Well, it turns out that oats are rich in amino acids like tryptophan, which directly affects your serotonin levels. In other words, oats aren’t just super filling but good for the soul, too.

Plus, they’re an excellent source of fiber, meaning they’ll keep you feeling full longer than other foods. Top your oats with peanut butter, a crumbled BOOP, and some honey for a deliciously sweet yet nutritious snack.

Happy Snacking!

When you’re feeling blue, a pint of ice cream or a few slices of cake might make you feel good for a moment — but once the sugar wears off and the crash sets in, you may feel even more down in the dumps. Not to worry, though, as there are plenty of feel-good snacks out there that can help brighten your day.

Take BOOP cookies, for example. These delicious quick bites are packed with nourishing ingredients (and lots of love) to help keep your energy levels balanced. So the next time you’re on the hunt for a yummy munch that’ll make you smile, look no further than BOOP cookies.
